Welcome to James Joseph Designs! My name is James Sabulsky, and I’m the founder of James Joseph Designs and Photography.

 

Who am I? I am a photographer. A graphic designer.  An artist who once worked for Disney. A history geek who vigorously supports community projects. A Yinzer – and proud of it! A coffee connoisseur and a Lover of Great Food.  A quintessential American of Irish, German, and Russian stock. Above all, I am detail-driven creator of things soulful and beautiful. Art is my passion.

 

A little more about my background -- I hold an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Arts from Oakbridge Academy of Arts, and since 2005 have been performing freelance work for several companies throughout the United States. I am currently pursuing a Business Marketing degree and web design certificate from Westmoreland County Community College. I am proud to have had the opportunity to work as an artist at the Walt Disney Company, where I assisted on several freelance projects, and served as an instructor teaching guests how to draw various characters. And I am more than thrilled to now be at the helm of my own company.

Apart from professional and educational pursuits, I devote much of my free time to photography, capturing the unique vibrancy of Pittsburgh and the intense beauty of the nature that surrounds us. On the side, I have a passion for travel, history and community projects. I love to observe and seize the world as it exists in the present while exploring our past. I have had the privilege of journeying up, down, and throughout the East Coast and mid-Atlantic region, visiting National Parks and historic small towns. Locally, I am very pleased to be at the reins of a non-profit historical society, which aims to preserve, promote, protect, and encourage the rich and diverse history of my area, for today and for future generations to enjoy and benefit from.
